Today we teamed up with Fridays for Future for a spectacular day with a great turnout. The highlight for me was everyone gathering around in a circle for an informal public discussion with both David (on the 12th day of his hunger strike and 19th day of our vigil outside Parliament) and Green MP Chlöe Swarbrick, about the social, political, and environmental issues we face, and how to face them.
One way is to come and e tū (stand up!) outside Parliament, or wherever you are, and to bring a friend or two. Or three. (Or four.) For discussions like this. To be seen and heard.
There are now weekly Friday vigils in Ōtautahi / Christchurch, Palmerston North, Wellington, and stirrings in Auckland. (Get in touch for info.)
